Blessed

GOOD NEWS if you have not yet heard.......

WE HAVE RECEIVED OUR WORK PERMITS!

We are COMPLETELY excited (just in case you haven't figured it out yet)!  Thank you for all of your prayers!!! NOW...let the work begin!

Some of the areas of the ministry we are starting to get involved with are:

-Chapel Time at the school with the students
-Teaching Sunday School at church and the mission
-Helping at the school with whatever is needed
-P.E. with upper primary students
-Finances
-Designing a web page for the school & keeping it updated
-Hosting visitors & looking forward to hosting teams in the upcoming months

The list could go on and on!  We are so thankful for this opportunity and ask that you would continue to still keep us in your prayers!

Life in Belize is beginning to seem somewhat "normal" to us now.  GOD is so incredibly faithful in keeping HIS promises to us and we are able to look around and see HIS hand in our lives and in the ministry.  It is amazing to think back at all the questions we had when we first arrived here

How will the kids do in school?       How will the kids adjust?   How long will it take for our work permits?    What if the work permits are denied?   What if we get sick?

GOD is in control and we tend to forget that and try to take matters into our own hands.  We have been learning to be patient and that everything happens in HIS timing!  HIS ways are NOT our ways!

This morning I read,

" You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses it's flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men."
Matthew 5:13

JESUS said that we are like salt that has lost it's saltiness and is, therefore, good for nothing. It is so easy to forget why God has us here on this earth, or our job, school, church, even in our own family. We tend to stray from the LORD and what HE has called us to, and look at the situations around us and become negative. I am guilty of this! It is SO easy to start to view things through our own eyes and NOT though HIS!  As I sat at the house and chewed on this verse, I heard singing from the school chapel time.  It was SO BEAUTIFUL to hear GOD's children singing praises to HIM! For me it was a reminder of why GOD has us here!  To minister to the students, teachers and families and that HE will sustain us! The question is...
"AM I LIKE THE SALT THAT HAS LOST IT'S SALTINESS? OR AM I GOING TO CHOOSE TO ALLOW GOD TO ADJUST MY LIFE SO THAT I CAN BE USED TO PRESERVE OTHERS?"
