Happy New Year

I hope that everyone had a wonderful CHRISTmas.  I will start off with an apology, " I am sorry.  I have been terrible at keeping this blog updated."

Onto a New Year and hopefully a fresh start!

We have been very busy this month. December started off with a visit from my parents, who arrived December 1st and stayed until December 10th.  It was sooooo good to have them here with us and we were refreshed and blessed by their visit.

School has been out of session since December 14th and will  begin again  next week, January 7th.  We were able to host a Christmas dinner for the teachers here at T.C.A. and for  the staff of another school. Everyone had a great time and gave us a chance to be able to witness to staff from the other school.  The teachers here at T.C.A work with such a great attitude and view their job, not as a job, but as a ministry and we wanted to be able to bless them.

Christmas day was a different day for us, but was very nice.  I am reminded everyday of how much the Lord continues to pour His love and blessings on our family and on those around us.  We started off the morning with just our family and a young American teacher, who stayed here for the holidays.  We were invited over to our Belizean friends house, for a Christmas lunch.  Later in the evening we made a Christmas dinner at our house with some of our Belizean friends, some Police officers, and our neighbors from New Zealand.  It was awesome to see all of the different cultures come together and feel like family, and to celebrate the birth of our LORD and SAVIOR!

We Received some tragic news on the night of December 30th.  One of the students who had attended our school when she was younger was killed.  I cannot tell you how shocked and upset we were to hear this.  Please pray for her family.  She left a 2 year old son, parents, and her two older sisters.  We know that GOD is in control and that HE is going to, in someway use this tragic event to make HIMSELF known.

"God is good; as stronghold in the day of trouble, and He cherishes those who put their trust in Him." Nahum 1:7

Thank you for all your prayers and support.
