Well, it has been a couple of weeks since I last posted and thought it was time to post a little more! Everyday is a new adventure for us and we feel like the learning experience never stops here. It has not rained in about nine days and the weather is absolutely beautiful this time of year. We finally feel like we are getting into the swing of things....it only took over a month :)! We are finding work to do behind the scenes, because we are waiting on our work permits to be able to actually work without the chance of getting in trouble by the government. BUT God is in control and we are learning to be patient, and that things happen in HIS timing and not our own!
This week we had three guys come and stay at the mission house for a night! It is always nice to have visitors. Travis and I were asked to clean the mission house and get the beds ready for our visitors. Now....I will tell you that I was excited to do this, BUT when a house has not had anyone staying in it....it seems that we have unwanted house guests! It can be quite scary to clean! We know that God brought us here and that this was a task we knew we would have to do. As we were cleaning I heard Travis yell. Turns out there was a rat upstairs. Being the great wife I am.....I took off! Ran clear to the neighbors and said your on your own! Poor Travis!!! In the end it took about 45 minutes to take care of that Rat and Travis was the Hero!

We also have been having some work done to our house. It is a cement house and gets VERY HOT during the dry season. Stairs are being built to the roof top and pillars. When the project is finished we will have a patio up top with covering to keep the sun from beating down on the roof and will hopefully cool the house down. It is always awesome to see old students grown up and working and we have 2 of them working at our house on this project. As we have already learned when we work...we will ALWAYS find critters. Travis was clearing some rocks and found 2 coral snakes under them. The kids were fascinated and I was about to have a heart attack having them fascinated with poisonous snakes! I finally had to realize that this was a good thing...so that they learn what they look like and to stay away or let us know if they ever see one again!
