Serving the LORD 'N' Belize: Chapter 2

JESUS SAID "With men it is impossible, but not with GOD; for with GOD ALL things are possible." Matthew 10:27

It is hard to believe that just seven weeks ago we felt the Lord calling us to Belize.  We responded by taking a step of faith and we are amazed at the way HE has taken care of our needs and has made it very clear that we are heading in the right direction.  I have to be honest. I don't understand why we put God in a box so many times in our lives.  It is sometimes difficult to let God be God and watch Him work while we come alongside of Him.  Let me explain!

We knew that God would use the body of Calvary Chapel Mesquite to get behind us and be a great supporting and sending church.  What we did not know is to what extent.  As we write this letter, the church has done a spaghetti dinner fundraiser and dessert auction, pancake breakfast and a golf tournament. In fact, the local newspaper did a story on our plans of moving to Belize and we were on the front sports page.  AMAZING! Now the town of Mesquite, Nevada is aware of the country of Belize and of the school we will be serving at, Toledo Christian Academy.

Since we are on the theme of limiting God, the company I have worked for, Do it Best Corp is also doing a fundraiser for us.  I could not believe it when the management team told me that they would like to get behind us.  I could not tell Liz without being emotional.  We serve a relational God, and we are relational beings. They said that I am a part of the Do it Best family and they want to help my family.  I was so convicted by God in limiting the way He would provide our needs that I asked Him to forgive me, O' me of little faith!

As I wrap up this newsletter God has raised all of the $10,000 plus some, to get us down to Belize.  Monthly support we are at 75% of our goal of $2500.  God has blessed us with a member of our body who purchased three of our plane tickets with her air miles.  We are set to fly out on October 17th, 2012.  My last day of work was on September 7th.  We took a trip to Tennesee and were able to visit friends and family and were blessed.  Our last trip before heading to Belize will be to San Diego, October1st to October 9th.  Thank you for all your support and Prayers!

IN HIS LOVE,
